Mandate

The Sangguniang Panlungsod shall enact Ordinances, approve/adopt resolutions and appropriate funds/measures to the general well-being of the city populace pursuant to Section 16 of the Local Government Code and in the proper exercise of the corporate powers of the City pursuant to Rule IX of its IRR and shall conduct weekly regular session and pre-session caucus.

Mission

To serve as a supportive but independent partner of the Local Chief Executive in attaining the development goals of the city and translate the needs, demands and apirations of the people into pieces of sound and responsive legislation that shall be the foundation of framework for executive action.
Vision

A pro-active, engaging and effective legislative body inspired by the needs and aspirations of the people of Ormoc to carry out legislative actions in pursuit of the city's vision and ensure better quality life of Ormocanons.
